Brake! It’s a snake!

Snake (1)It’s not uncommon, when riding on bike paths around the Central Coast, to come across people walking their pets. Sometimes, in the joy of the morning sunshine, they forget they are sharing the path and they and their fluffy little dog take up the entire cycleway. But this morning, seeing as  I was riding on the fire trails of Kincumber Mountain, I wasn’t expecting such issue.

Having completed the steep climb to the top of the mountain, I was cruising along on the flat, sandy 1-2 kilometre section of comfortable, faster trail when I noticed a sizeable stick right across the track. The brakes got a work out when I realised it was another of God’s creatures out early on the weekend, enjoying the Aussie bush!
