After nearly three months of anticipation it’s actually here!
Knowing there was a chance it would arrive today, I went to work early so that I could duck my head into the Local Bike Store on the way home — just in case I could catch a glimpse of the fabled Ripley.
And there, at the front of the store, was a box labeled “Ibis”!
After cutting off the tape and prizing open the box what did I see? Black and Green! Yes, my Black and Green Ibis Ripley frame. Ah, life feels better already!
And what can I say? It looks gorgeous, it looks stealth, it looks sexy — it looks like … it belongs with me!
Hang dang, I’ll probably have to wait till after the weekend before they have a chance to put the bike together but, hey … at least now I know for sure Santa exits.

Has all the waiting been worth it? Do you reckon you’ll appreciate your first ride that much more because you’ve had to wait SUCH A LONG TIME??
Because you’ve had to wait so long, maybe Santa really has exited!!
The green and black is definitely more stealth than the blue one was. Are you sure you want stealth? It kinda goes against your personality, doesn’t it?
Ah, you know, the best kinda stealth is the one that is SO tastefully done that when you DO notice it you think, “oh yeah, wow, I like that!” (I’m happy if that reflects my personality LOL.)
And oh, yes, it’s been worth the wait — and I’m yet to ride it!
Un-believable what a wait and its still not over! But how great it is to see a frame.
And won’t it be nice to have me stop talking about it … oh, but I will have to tell you how she rides ….
Very sweet looking rig. Love the almost iridescent green on back section. Looking forward to seeing that up ahead on the trail… and not on top of the rider either.
You planning to ride with your brakes on for a bit? I hope it’ll be a long long time before the Ripley ends up on top of the rider!
